I’m going to go with a different theory than the other answers. This is nothing to do with the type of media you’re watching, but the general problem with shortening attention spans with young people. You’ve grown up in a world of Vines, TikToks, YouTube Shorts and other short form content. Your brains have simply been wired to expect things in very short intense bursts and “spicy”* content is no exception. If you don’t get a payoff within five minutes your brain says “bored now” and you lose interest.
